Privacy
Last updated 4 November 2026. FLIX is run by AI Venture Studio Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17456540, registered office 241A Selbourne Road, Unit 5, Luton, Bedfordshire, LU4 8NP.
This explains what FLIX keeps about you, why, and what you can do about it. AI Venture Studio Ltd is the data controller. Questions or requests: [email protected].
What we keep
- Your account: your email address and a scrambled (hashed) form of your password. We never see your password itself.
- Your put.io connection: the access key put.io gives FLIX when you connect, kept encrypted, and your put.io username and email so we can show which account is connected. We never receive your put.io password.
- Your library: the names, folders and sizes of the video files in your put.io, and the film and TV information we match them to. We do not copy or store any video.
- Your household: profile names, pictures, PINs (hashed), age-rating settings, My List, ratings, requests, and your settings PIN (hashed).
- What you watch: where you stopped in each video, what each profile has watched, and how many minutes each profile watched each day, so FLIX can offer Continue Watching, recommendations and the household's weekly summary.
- Optional: if you turn on new-episode alerts, the address your browser gives us for notifications; if you report a problem, the file, the moment and your device type.
Why
To provide the service you signed up for: building your library from your put.io, playing it, and keeping each profile's place (the contract between us). To keep FLIX secure and working, and to answer you when you write to us (our legitimate interests). We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who helps us run FLIX
- Supabase keeps the database, in London.
- Cloudflare runs the app and this website, and counts visits without cookies.
- put.io holds your files; FLIX reads your library and plays from it with your permission.
- The Movie Database (TMDB) provides film and TV information. We send it the titles we read from your file names, not who you are.
- Resend sends account emails, such as password resets.
- A payment provider will take payment when you unlock FLIX; we will name it here before payments open. We never see your full card details.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have a FLIX account. Disconnecting put.io deletes the access key at once. If you close your account, we delete your account, library and viewing information within 30 days, apart from payment records we must keep for tax.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing [email protected] from your account's email address.
